VME News - VME Provides Commentary System for Tour De France 09

VME have provided the complete commentary system for France Television 3 for use over the Tour De France 2009. The system, which comprises of a range of Glensound equipment was designed by VME Director Dion Davie. Centrally consisting of two GSOC 33-5 Coaxial Base Stations, ten GSOC 34 coaxial commentary units are spread around each race location, allowing for up to 10 individual commentary positions. The system then links to a GS3U ISDN subrack, with appropriate modules to provide outputs using G722 / G711 Codecs.

VME delivered this equipment to France on time, and as an out-of-the-box solution for FTV3. You can catch up with the race progress here.
